~ Bug wanted his friends/fans/followers to know that he is all groomed up💈 He must have caught on that I was trying to gain his trust so that I could brush him & decided he wanted nothing to do with that 😄 Day by day since I last posted, he has gotten all the knots off his back. This confirms to me that Jerry had been his groomer, but I'm happy he is taking care of himself now 🧡

~ Good morning from Bug 🧡 He still seems to be doing well, eating & playing (mostly when I'm not in his enclosure). We're trying to help get some knots in the fur on his back out. He's currently in one of his skittish phases, no doubt from having to take Jerry in & out in his last days for vet appointments, so he won't let me get close which means I can't brush him. But I've been finding evidence that he's been pulling them out one or two at a time.
Bug & Jerry were close & we're thinking Jerry must have helped Bug stay groomed because the mats on his back seem to have only developed right about the time Jerry started declining & over the last couple weeks since he's been gone. I've been working daily to try to regain Bug's trust enough to where I can at least pet/brush him again, but he's one that is slow to come around. We'll give it a little more time, but we may have to try catching him & have the mats shaved off.
